On this page
A French birth certificate, a Belgian marriage certificate, a diploma, a court ruling: to be accepted by a Moroccan administration, the document usually has to be translated into Arabic (or French) by a sworn translator and then legalised. The same applies in reverse for a Moroccan document going abroad.
We put you in touch with a sworn translator in Marrakech, drop off and collect the documents, and handle legalisation when it is required.
What we handle most often
Marriage certificate
For a residence permit file, family reunification, a bank or an administration.
Birth certificate
Moroccan or foreign: sworn translation, then legalisation if the administration asks for it.
Diplomas and transcripts
Diplomas, transcripts, school certificates, essential for school enrolment or an equivalence file.
Other documents
Court rulings, employment attestations, pension statements, police records, medical certificates.
Sworn versus free translation
A translation you made yourself, or a machine translation, has no value at a counter. What is accepted is the work of a translator accredited by the courts of the Kingdom, who signs and stamps the document. That is what is required for a residence permit file, a school enrolment or a bank.
And legalisation?
Legalising means having a signature or a copy authenticated by the competent authority. Many files require the pair: legalised copy plus sworn translation. We tell you which one your file actually needs, in what order, and we take care of it.
How it works
- You send a clear photo of the document on WhatsApp and tell us what it is for.
- We tell you what is genuinely required, translation only, translation plus legalisation, or nothing at all if the original is enough.
- We drop it off with a sworn translator and track the deadline.
- We collect it, have it legalised if needed, and hand it over, or take it straight to the counter on the day of your appointment.

Three tips that save paying twice
- Ask which language is required first. Some offices accept French, others insist on Arabic.
- Check how recent the original is. Many files require a certificate issued within the last three months.
- Group everything. One drop-off, one collection, for all the documents in the same file.

FAQ
What is a sworn translation in Morocco?
A translation produced by a translator accredited by the courts of the Kingdom, who signs and stamps the document and is accountable for it. Free or machine translations are not accepted by administrations.
How do I get a marriage certificate translated in Morocco?
Send us a clear photo, we check which language the receiving administration requires, we drop the document with a sworn translator in Marrakech, then collect the translation and have it legalised if the file requires it.
Arabic or French, which one do I need?
It depends on the office receiving the file: some accept French, others require Arabic. We check before ordering the translation so you do not pay twice.
What is the difference between translation and legalisation?
Translation renders the content in another language with an accredited translator's signature. Legalisation authenticates a signature or a copy with the competent authority. Many files require both, in a specific order.
How long does a sworn translation take?
It depends on the translator, the volume and the season. We pass on the deadline announced at drop-off and let you know as soon as the document is ready.
